Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Reports To: Accounting Manager

Position Overview

The Assistant Accountant will support the Finance Department across a wide range of accounting and financial activities, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, policies, and industry standards. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and process invoices and accounting entries in a timely manner.
• Update and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank statements, verifying receipts and payments against company records.
• Prepare and issue invoices to customers as required.
• Contribute to month-end closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date filing system for financial documents.
• Assist in the preparation, management, and analysis of financial reports.
• Provide support with ad hoc accounting and finance tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-5 years’ relevant experience, preferably with strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Soft1 ERP will be considered an advantage.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and excellent time management skills.
