Position Title: Engineering Lead

Reports To: Director/C-Level

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to provide both technical management and architectural direction across our digital platforms and portfolio. This role requires a proven professional with the ability to balance hands-on engineering with strategic leadership. The successful candidate will guide our teams in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions while ensuring alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain the technical architecture for platforms, products, and projects.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of developers—both internal and external—fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive Agile software development practices, ensuring delivery of high-quality, iterative product increments.
• Partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, development workflows, and code repositories (GitHub/GitLab) to ensure efficient and secure software delivery.
• Resolve complex technical challenges with a structured, solution-oriented approach.
• Effective in matrix management and team building
• Manages/Leads a group of IT developers (hiring, coaching, training, career management, performance evaluation, one on one follow up, Team meeting, vacation)
• Support Organization transformation to adopt agile, grow a high performing Agile Development team
• Responsible for team financial management, budget management and forecasting

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role, or in a position with equivalent responsibilities.
• Proven track record in designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise-grade applications.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing diverse, cross-functional, or distributed technical teams.
• Strong technical expertise in:
  • PHP (Pure PHP, Laravel)
  • Drupal, WordPress, or other CMS platforms
  • MySQL / PostgreSQL
  • React, Java, and Python
  • CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (GitHub / GitLab)
• Demonstrated success in applying Agile principles and leading Agile product development cycles.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Minimum Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g. Scrum Master) are considered as a plus.
