Position Overview

The Financial Reporting Officer will play a key role in delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports to support strategic decision-making. Joining a Finance team within a leading communications services company that serves both public sector organizations and private enterprises, the successful candidate will uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism while ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Greek GAAP and IFRS.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and analyze variances versus budget and forecasts, providing clear explanations and recommendations.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, supplying required documentation and addressing inquiries.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities in financial reporting.
  • Monitor and present key financial performance indicators (KPIs) through dashboards and management reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in financial reporting or audit (communications or services industry experience preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP and business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of IFRS and experience with both public and private sector projects.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, ACA) will be considered a plus.
