IT Project Manager (PM Team)

IT Project Manager (PM Team)

Role Summary

We are looking for a dynamic IT Project Manager to join our PM team and lead the successful delivery of IT projects across a variety of domains, including infrastructure, software implementation, and digital transformation. The ideal candidate will bring structure, clarity, and leadership to complex initiatives, ensuring business goals are met on time, within budget, and to scope — while fostering collaboration across internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource plans.
  • Develop and maintain project charters, WBS, Gantt charts, and detailed schedules.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including internal departments, vendors, and third parties.
  • Oversee deployment of IT systems (hardware, software, services) and coordinate all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and alignment with forecasts.
  • Track project progress using tools and dashboards; allocate internal and external resources effectively.
  • Identify risks and dependencies early; maintain risk registers and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communications through status reports, steering committee updates, and project documentation.
  • Manage UAT, training, and transition to operations/support teams.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews, identify lessons learned, and contribute to process improvement.

Key Skills

  • Project Lifecycle Mastery: Strong command of all phases — initiation to closure — including documentation, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
  • Technical Fluency: Good understanding of IT domains (e.g., infrastructure, application development, cloud environments), allowing effective liaison between business and technical stakeholders.
  • Communication & Reporting: Skilled in articulating project updates to both technical teams and executive audiences through written reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identifies project risks and implements preventive or corrective actions before escalation.
  • Time & Cost Management: Uses project planning tools and budgeting techniques to optimize timelines and keep projects financially on track.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Balances analytical thinking with practical judgment to resolve issues quickly and constructively.
  • Team Leadership & Motivation: Able to guide teams through challenges, build morale, and maintain productivity across distributed and hybrid settings.
  • Tool Proficiency: Comfortable with PM tools like MS Project, JIRA, Trello, or equivalent platforms for task tracking and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience leading IT projects in a structured project environment (waterfall, agile, or hybrid).
  • Certifications such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, AgilePM®, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) are highly desirable.
  • Experience managing remote, cross-functional, or vendor-driven teams is a strong plus.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Greek) are a plus depending on project context.
